Semor was born in Waldbröl, Germany in 1982 and lives and works in Cologne. He first watched the movie “Stylewars” at the age of eleven and was fascinated by classic Style Writing. This influence pushed him beyond the point of no return and he set out to find his own style.
Now as then, letters are important to Semor, but are complemented by graphical elements and forms in his work. His style distinguishes itself as a type of collage in which letters and elements are wound into each other and fit themselves into place.
Semor loves working with wood and recycled materials like metal and old frames or photography. Discarded objects are revived and r...efined, supplemented by graphic as well as abstract areas and shapes.
His great passion is combining traveling with painting, which has led him to many interesting corners of this earth such as New York City, Atlanta, Buenos Aires, London, Zurich, Berlin, Milan, Copenhagen and many more.
His body of work is not limited to small and large format, but he has also designed a number of murals.
